KARISSA LONON

Karissa is a junior University Scholars major at Baylor University studying Biochemistry, Biology, and Medical Humanities on the Pre-Medical Track. She is a member of the Honors Program and is a Medical Ethics Certificate candidate. Karissa plans to attend medical school and specialize in either obstetrics and gynecology or pediatric orthopedic surgery. Her favorite novel is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

MICHELLE TAN

I am a University Scholars major concentrating in Biology at Baylor University. As an aspiring physician, my goal is to attend medical school. I am favoring academic medicine as any teaching experience is a way for both the learner and myself to discover something new. My favorite book is Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. He is a clever writer combining both moral and ethical topics into an enrapturing fictional tale.
